Outdoor activities for every season
The services and activities of Virrat are located only a few kilometres away. In Virrat, you can find among other things a 9-hole golf course and a wide selection of sports activities for every season. For hiking and day trips amidst nature, there are several easily accessible trails in the vicinity. The ski centre of Pukkivuori has two skiing slopes and a wide network of well-maintained cross-country skiing tracks for winter-time fun.
Close to Naava Virrat, you can also find Perinnekylä, a local tourist attraction with interesting cultural history spots and a restaurant. Hiekkaranta, an iconic dance hall over 60 years is located within a walking distance.
Naava Virrat is also accessible by boat, as the famous canal of Herranen connects Toivesi to Lake Näsijärvi, which in turn reaches from Virrat to all the way to Tampere. S/S Tarjanne, one of the oldest steamboats in Finland still in use, cruises between Virrat and Tampere in summer time. Virrat is located in the middle of Tampere, Seinäjoki and Jyväskylä – approximately within a one-hour drive from each city. To the bustling tourist attractions of Tuuri and Ähtäri, there is only 50 km.
